Are your fragrances authentic?

Yes! Every fragrance sold by Scent Shelf is 100% authentic unless otherwise stated. Our decants are professionally transferred from genuine retail bottles into high-quality travel atomisers.

A fragrance decant is a smaller portion of an original perfume that has been carefully transferred into a travel-sized atomiser.

Decants are a great way to:

  • Try a fragrance before investing in a full-size bottle.

  • Build your fragrance wardrobe.

  • Carry your favourite scents while travelling.

  • Experience luxury and niche fragrances at a more affordable price.

No. Our fragrances are decanted from authentic retail bottles into premium travel atomisers. Original manufacturer bottles and packaging are not included unless specifically stated.

What sizes do you offer?

We currently offer four convenient sizes to suit your needs:

Are fragrance notes guaranteed?

Fragrance notes are provided by the original fragrance houses or trusted fragrance references. Individual perception of scent varies, so you may notice certain notes more prominently than others.

Orders are typically packed within 1–2 business days after payment has been received.

Estimated delivery times after dispatch are:

  • Major Cities: 1–3 business days

  • Regional Areas: 2–4 business days

  • Outlying & Remote Areas: 3–5 business days

You will receive tracking information once your parcel has been dispatched via email or SMS/WhatsApp (where available).

How much does shipping cost?

We offer flat-rate nationwide shipping of R55 on all orders below R750.

Orders of R750 or more qualify for FREE shipping.

Unfortunately not.

Because fragrances are personal products and cannot be resold once opened, we cannot accept returns or offer refunds due to personal preference, change of mind, or if you simply don’t enjoy the scent.

If your order arrives damaged, faulty, or incorrect, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery.

Why does my fragrance smell different from someone else’s?

Fragrance can smell different from person to person due to:

  • Skin chemistry

  • Body temperature

  • Climate

  • Humidity

  • Moisture levels in the skin

This is completely normal and one of the reasons fragrance is so personal.

For the best longevity, store your fragrance:

  • Away from direct sunlight.

  • In a cool, dry place.

  • Away from excessive heat and humidity.

  • With the atomiser cap securely fitted.

Proper storage helps preserve the quality of your fragrance.

This depends on the size and how often you wear it. As a guide:

  • 1 ml: Approximately 12–15 sprays

  • 2 ml: Approximately 25–35 sprays

  • 5 ml: Approximately 65–80 sprays

  • 10 ml: Approximately 130–160 sprays

Fragrance colour can vary naturally between production batches. Exposure to natural ingredients, ageing, or ingredient variations may also slightly affect colour without changing the quality or authenticity of the fragrance.
